I did this with an ugly old bulletin board I had lying around the house. I think I got it from Goodwill in college for $5. It's moved with me from Montana to Eugene to Portland. But, it wasn't until my discovery of Pintrest, and seeing some ideas similar to the one I'm showing you that I thought about fixing it up.
So I found a piece of scrap fabric I had in my stash and covered the front of the cork board, and stapled the fabric to the back. Then I nailed two picture hangers to the back and hung it to the wall. Easy enough, right.
Now, my cork board was thick and sturdy enough to staple the fabric to. But if yours isn't, you'll want to glue the cork board to a piece of plywood first... then staple the fabric to the the back of the wood.
All in all, this project cost me $3 (for the picture hangers)... everything else I had lying around. And now we have a place to put our coupons and schedule stuff!

I LOVE that book, and the whole series!! I think she could be a role model for young girls, I mean she got her life in order right? And I love the dynamic between Rebecca and Luke, so much better in the book than in the movie! I can't wait to see what you pick for March, if I haven't read it, I'm going to go out and pick it up! Your posts are so funny! You were born to write!
ReplyDeleteI'll have to check out the rest of the series. I was kind of surprised by how much I enjoyed the book. It was fantastic! I'll send out March's book choice tomorrow, I hope you like it. I liked what I read on the back of the book, so we'll see! :)
