Happy Tuesday to you! It's recipe time, and have I got a treat that will BLOW YOUR MIND!!!! I'm serious these things are so good, I would write a song for them if I had any musical talent. Jason and I eat them after our morning walk.... EVERY MORNING! They're yummy, healthy and just enough sweet that I haven't craved sweets in over a month!
But, enough raving about these little balls of energy-- time to teach you how to make them.
Here's what you'll need:
Dump everything in a bowl, and mix it together! Put your bowl of ball mix in the fridge (yes, I wrote that sentence that way on purpose :)). Leave it there for 30 minutes, then take it out and start forming it into balls. Once you're done put the balls in the freezer to set up and you can keep them in a ziplock back pretty-much forever.
Like I said above, we like to have them after a walk or workout because they're a great boost of protein.
**Note: You can substitute the seeds and chocolate chips for whatever you want. And you can also add some spices to taste if you want. Feel free to change up the peanut butter for any other nut butter as well.
I have questions! :) About how many balls does this make? (hehe). And also, when you made these, did you use whole or ground flax? THANKS!
ReplyDeleteNo problem Sarah! This recipe makes about 22 balls :) and I used whole flax seeds. Let me know if you have any other questions!
